After the huge success as well as controversy on the second part of the Lucifer franchise, Empuraan aka L2 which was released this year, Lalettan’s new movie Thudarum is all set to release !
The news value that Empuran or L2 has created i social media and print & visual media and all over India is not just a movie could get .. Perhaps, Empuran is the first film that was re-censored after the first three days of its release, respecting the emotional outbursts that occurred by the people who worked behind the making of the movie. Following that, some parts of the film were cut including few Charecter Names, Years, Places were cut and the film was re-released again. Lalettan, the personal pride of Malayalis went so far as to express regret to his audience through social media for having to include some parts of the film and realizing that people’s feelings were hurt by it. Some even said that Lalettan’s Lt. Colonel desihnation should be taken back by the Indian Army. The director or scriptwriter of the film has not come forward with any specific response yet on all these controversies.
It is in such a situation that Lalettan’s Thudarum is being prepared for release. The fact that while a section of people stands with Lalettan and his films, a large group of people is in the opposite camp can affect Lalettan’s new films in both postive or negative way. Looks like Director Mr. Tharun Moorthi and team are in for a big gamble.
The Movie Thudarum, which was completed under the direction of Tarun Murthy, is also bringing back one of the best star couples in Malayalam film industry… !

Shobhana, who returned to the silver screen after a long gap with the film Varane Awasyamundu starring opposite Suresh Gopi, may looking forward to become an active participations in films again.
Manian Pillai Raju, Binu Pappu, Farhan Faasil, Irshad Ali and Arsha are all part of this huge star cast in Tarun Murthy’s film ‘ Thudarum’. I believe that Tarun Murthy, who has done films like Saudi Vellakka and Operation Jawa that have won the hearts of the audience, will not disappoint us.
Thudarum is releasing on April 25th…and on the same day we have two more movies which is all set to have a relwase clash alongside Thudarum.
Suresh Gopi’s JSK (Janaki vs. State of Kerala) and Written and Directed by God, which is being casted by Saiju Kurup and Sunny Wayne, are also getting ready for release.
The film ‘Empuran’ has this mixed feelings that it created in the minds of the people and the significance of the film ‘JSK’ being released while Suresh Gopi as the Union Minister in connection with his election victory in Loksabha Pol 2024.
Only four days left until April 25th!!
