Under the banner of P & J Productions, Koodal is an upcoming film produced by Jithin K.V and directed by Shanu Kakkur and Shafi Epikkad, set against the backdrop of a camping experience. The film stars Bibin George, Marina Michael, Riya, Niya Varghese, and Anu Sonara (sister of actress Anu Sithara) in the lead roles.
The central theme of the film revolves around the celebration of youth and the events that unfold among them. Another highlight of the film is the presence of five action-packed and energetic songs.
Manikandan Perumbadappu, who gained attention through the viral song “Oru Kaattu Moolunnu…” from the film Chekan, appears in the film both as a singer and an actor. Bibin George, the male lead, has also sung one of the songs in the film.
Alongside Bibin George and the four heroines, the film also features prominent roles by Vijilesh, Nandu, Usha, Gajaraj (father of Tamil director Karthik Subbaraj), Vineeth Tattil, Vijayakrishnan, Kevin, Rafi Chakkapazham, Akhilsha, Samjeevan, Ali Arangadath, Lali Marakkar, Sneha Vijayan, Archana Ranjith, and Dasettan Kozhikode, along with several social media and Reels personalities, and many newcomers.
The script and dialogues have been written by Shafi Epikkad, with co-writers Rafi Mankada and Yasir Parathakad.
The cinematography is by Shajeer Papp, and the music is composed by Sibu Sukumaran, Nikhil Anilkumar, Albin S Joseph, and Prasad Chembrassery, who form the core technical crew of the film.
