From Nirup of Romancham to Ambaan of Avesham…from Mario of Ponman to Suku of Painkili..! Sajin Gopu is Outstanding!!

Malayalis may not have forgotten Nirup in the movie Romancham, Amban in the movie Avesham and Mario in Ponman… When the three different characters of actor Sajin Gopu are so full, Sajin Gopu comes as the hero in the movie Painkili, which is directed by Sreejith Babu and written by Jithu Madhavan.

It was a challenge for a newcomer like Sajin to carry off the full-length roles he had played before without any resemblance. But it has been proved that actor Sajin Gopu took up that challenge with great sincerity. Not only that… Sajin has also tried his best to bring about a body transformation in his body in the best possible way, as evidenced by the fact that Suku, who has changed in appearance from the gigantic Mario in Ponman to an innocent village youngster in Painkili !

By seeing Suku in Painkili, we can see that the producer Fahadh Faasil, who accepted Sajin Gopu as a hero and gave him an opportunity, did not make a single mistake in their choice.

Coming to the movie… I can only say that it is not bad…even though the matter of fact where everyone who acted gave a great performance in the film. Because actors like Anaswara Rajan, the heroine, Chandu Salim Kumar, Roshan, Jisma Vimal, Abu Salim, Riyaz Khan who appeared in about two or three scenes, Lijo Jose Pellissery who appeared in just one scene, and so on, how could a movie in which all of them gave great performances throughout the movie not received a good opinion…??

Anaswara’s character Sheeba, who played the heroine, runs away from home time to time. The writer has managed to maintain the suspense element of why she runs away from home… Along side the humor elements and coincidentl situations are also well knitted and interesting too.

But the scene that reveals the suspense… the conversation between Sheeba and Suku’s neighbor Suma… the scene where Suma comes and tells Suku and his friends about the conversation… I felt these scenes must have not been given enough attention…and also taken by the characters lightly. that must have been the reason why the audience felt that the script was so weak.

What is worth mentioning in this film are Sajin Gopu’s Suku, Abu Salim Chettan, who played Suku’s father, and Jisma Vimal, who played the character of Suku’s friend’s sister Suma. All three of them acted impossibly well and nailed it to perfection. Suma’s face was always cool and spread great amount of laughtrr whenever she is on the screen…! Suma and Suku killed the scene where suma is bringing food at night for Suku… !

Abu Salim direction giving to park the car was full on. The father’s expression of joy when his own son finally listened to him was next level. The way Abu Salim dealt with the locals and neighbours who came to see his son who had come home from hospital was so much fun.

If that weak point in the script had been fixed, Pinkili would have been a good movie and also would have been a hit.

Sajin Gopu.. You are a promising actor. Your years of Hard Work has finally paying you back. May we see you in more films with more good characters!!
